Photo Flash: First Look at DM Playhouse's LITTLE HOUSE CHRISTMAS AT PLUM CREEK

The Des Moines Community Playhouse Kate Goldman Children's Theatre presents "Little House Christmas at Plum Creek," Nov. 9-Dec. 2. Get a first look at the cast onstage below!

The Ingalls family is preparing for their first Christmas on the harsh Minnesota prairie. They feel lonely and cold with very few neighbors except for a nearby Norwegian family. Soon, Pa must leave the Ingalls women, braving a blustering blizzard to get to town. Ma, Mary, and Laura must wait and pray that he will return safely in time for Christmas.

Based on the book series by Laura Ingalls Wilder, "Little House Christmas at Plum Creek" teaches Laura and Mary Ingalls the real meaning of Christmas. The Playhouse cast, under the direction of Kathy Pingel and David VanCleave, features Sam Amadeo, Lauren Gabby, Avi Gedler, Spencer Gilbert, Katy Merriman, Susan Sheriff, Lily Spahr, and Rodney Tomlinson.

The Playhouse is Iowa's oldest and largest producing theatre. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
